Vision Statement:
At the music department of Escondido Adventist Academy (EAA), our vision is a school community that recognizes and appreciates high quality music and consistently produces accomplished, intelligent musicians with a heart for God and for service.
Mission Statement
To bring that vision to reality, we provide a comprehensive, exceptional music education program to students in grades kindergarten through the twelfth grade within a SDA Christian framework.
Purpose Statement
Our purpose is connecting people to each other and to God, through the gift of music.
Levels of Musical Involvement
We recognize that, like adults, each students' interest in music will vary from person to person. With that in mind, we have identified three levels of musical involvement to distinguish between different types of musicians or music lovers. These three levels correlate to the levels of potential involvement in music for EAA students.
- Patron––well-rounded person; recognizes and appreciates high quality music
- Hobbyist––casual musician; sings or plays an instrument for his/her own pleasure or with others for musical and social fulfillment
- Professional––may be a full-time musician, music teacher and/or music industry professional or may perform as a secondary source of income; performs at a very high level of musical competence.
